When it comes to the engine of the 4Runner, all trims receive a 4.0-liter V6 that produces 270 hp and 278 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a five-speed automatic transmission.

The base SR5 gets you a rearview camera, 17-inch wheels, 40/20/40-split second row seats, a power rear window, cloth upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 6.1-inch touchscreen, a CD player, an eight-speaker sound system, HD radio, satellite radio, fog lights, skid plates, power front seats, and a 120-volt power outlet.

The TRD Off-Road comes with off-road settings, a crawl control function, and more.

The TRD Off-Road Premium adds the same features as the SR5 Premium.

The TRD Pro gains LED fog lights, a 15-speaker JBL sound system, a sunroof, automatic headlights, all-terrain tires, a special front skid plate, Fox dampers, matte black 17-inch wheels, and a roof rack.

How Can You Choose?

As you can see, there’s much to love with both the 2019 Pathfinder and the 2019 4Runner. These SUVs give you plenty of passenger space and cargo room. On top of that, you receive a wide array of features. You might think the 4Runner wins out due to the fact that it offers more trim levels. However, sometimes too many trim levels pose a problem. With the Pathfinder, for instance, you have fewer trim levels, but many features packed within each trim. This is why we recommend the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder!
